FAQs

Do you accept insurance?

Rooted Medical is a cash-based practice and does not bill insurance. We are awaiting credentialing with BCBS and UHC and hope to be in network by September.

Cash-based care does allows me to provide longer, more personalized visits without the restrictions that often come with insurance-based care. Payment is collected at the time of your visit.

You are able to use HSA or FSA funds, and I can also provide a receipt (superbill) if you’d like to submit for possible reimbursement using your out-of-network benefits.

What areas do you serve?

I provide in-home and in-office visits in the North Broken Arrow area as well as surrounding areas when scheduling allows. Some extended distances may require an additional travel fee.

Telemedicine visits are available for patients located in anywhere in Oklahoma.

What is Integrative Medicine?

Integrative care focuses on looking beyond symptoms to better understand the root causes of health concerns.

This may include attention to nutrition, sleep, stress, movement, and other lifestyle factors, along with the thoughtful use of supplements or other supportive therapies when appropriate.

My goal is to combine this approach with traditional medical care to support both short-term needs and long-term health.

Do you prescribe medications?

Yes. I can prescribe medications when appropriate and send prescriptions directly to your preferred pharmacy.

I can also order labs and imaging as needed to be completed at our partner facilities.

Is this a “real” medical practice?

I’m so glad you are asking this question, and YES we are a real practice. Just like any other office, you will sign consents and complete intake paperwork prior to your visit. All communication is done via HIPPA compliant video and messaging software. You will also have a patient portal to have complete access to your entire medical chart and send messages directly to your provider.

We can order labs, imaging, medications, and place referrals

Do you treat children?

We only see kids for urgent care needs. We are unable to provide preventative care to children at this time.

How does an in-home visit work?

After booking your appointment online, I will come to your home (or office) at the scheduled time. I bring the necessary equipment to evaluate and treat many common conditions, and if labs or prescriptions are needed, I will coordinate those for you.

We have the ability to handle a large amount of concerns with our in-home urgent care visits. We can do testing for flu, covid, and strep as well as urine testing. We have medications to give immediately including breathing treatments, medication injections and you first dose of antibiotics, if indicated. We can also do sutures, staples, wound care. The best part, we don’t nickel and dime you. Your visit cost covers all supplies and medications.

What urgent care needs can you address?

Telemedicine is a great option for: minor illnesses, medication refills, follow-up visits, or lab reviews. If I feel that you need an in-person evaluation, I will let you know and help arrange appropriate care.

When should I choose telemedicine over an in-person visit?
